    A digital noticeboard for all staff

    Heidrive GmbH, based in Kelheim, has been developing and manufacturing servo motors and drive systems for over 80 years for sectors such as medical technology, robotics and aviation. With smartPerform, the company now keeps its staff up to date in a centralised and paperless manner via a digital noticeboard at the staff entrance.

    The background

    Before the switch, important information for staff – from the works council, the HR department or regarding the latest news – was communicated via traditional A4 notices, which quickly became out of date and were easily overlooked. Heidrive was looking for a solution that would replace this paper-based system without losing the familiar structure of the existing information channels. With smartPerform, the design template could be implemented exactly as it was, meaning that all relevant sections are now available to staff in real time and clearly organised in one central location.

    With the move to the modern new building on Pariser Platz in Stuttgart, the presentation and seminar technology is also to be modernized in a forward-looking way.

    Everything you need to know

    At the heart of the system is a navigable digital signage section featuring prioritised content, as well as a ‘Latest Content’ feed that displays the four most recent news items, along with the source for each section. This allows staff to see at a glance what is currently important and where it comes from.

    With the move to the modern new building on Pariser Platz in Stuttgart, the presentation and seminar technology is also to be modernized in a forward-looking way.

    A structure for every area

    The individual sections, such as the works council, events and careers, are presented as tiles. Each tile has its own icon, position and label, and has been implemented entirely within smartPerform. Where necessary – for example, in the careers section – sub-sections provide additional structure without cluttering the layout.

    For day-to-day operations

    A text ticker displays additional eye-catching brief updates when staff need to be informed quickly about important matters. A countdown, followed by a prompt after three minutes of inactivity, ensures that the system always returns to the home screen.
